Iritty Steel Bridge is one of the major bridges constructed by the British in British-India. The first Iritty Bridge was constructed by the British in the year of 1887. But after some years this smashed into the heavy flood of 1928. After the devastation of first bridge the present steel bridge construction started and inaugurated in the year of 1933.

This Steel Girders bridge is famous for technology, that used for the construction. This built on two pillars with three spans and with an excellent vibration reduction systems made this bridge to an Engineering marvel. The Steel Girders used for the bridge construction is completely imported from Great Britain. This beautiful steel Girders bridge designed and constructed by Mr. E. H. Stewart, one of the bridge engineers in British India.
